Built on a large, level block protected from the elements and secluded from the street, the objective for this project was to create a stylish living space that worked for a family on a daily basis, and for entertaining friends on occasion.

An easy level-lawned garden and sparkling lap pool are the chosen focal points outdoors, and the living areas of the home are built around these. An open kitchen leads onto covered outdoor living area and dining, with just steps to the pool.

The heated pool is the centre of kids' activity in the household in summer or winter and this clever design creates easy functionality and a sense of family connection both for meals and across everyday tasks.

A relaxed lounge and entertainment zone flow through sliding timber doors onto soft green lawn and beyond to the kids' cubby house. High ceilings offer light and create a sense of airiness and space. A sense of fine craftsmanship and good quality finishes runs throughout.

Multi-levels in this home allow sleeping and study areas to be comfortably separate from the more active living areas.

Get-togethers for family and friends are relaxed as children and adults alike have their own space to unwind. These are easy days at Avalon.
